Librarian and Researcher (Mumbai)

Company: Saffronart Work experience: 5 years Location: Mumbai Salary: Commensurate with experience We are looking for an established and hard-working individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with library databases to join our team in Mumbai. The candidate will be responsible for managing our reference library and contributing to the research requirements of various departments. The candidate must have excellent organisational and record-keeping skills, the ability to adhere to tight deadlines, and be very comfortable with database management systems. Compensation offered is commensurate with experience. Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain all records related to the reference library including the online library module - Oversee the circulation of library materials, keep track of due return dates, and follow up with team members as and when necessary - Conduct regular checks and updates on inventory and database information - Oversee the digitisation of the library and work closely and coordinate with the external digitising agency as required - Assist the Client Relations, Editorial, and Marketing teams with sourcing reference material - Assist with research-related tasks - Assist with checking the accuracy of sources and research material Requirements: - Graduate/Postgraduate degree - Previous library database management experience is necessary - Familiar and comfortable with working with various database management systems - Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail - Should be a team player with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks within agreed-upon deadlines - Valuable interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken English) - A background in or knowledge about Indian art is preferable To apply, send an updated resume and a cover letter expressing your interest in this role to [email protected]
