Shopify App Developer (Contract Based)

About the job: We are not looking for a 'Shopify Store Developer'. Key Responsibilities: A. Application development: 1. Develop public and/or private Shopify applications 2. Build backend logic using Node.js or Ruby on Rails 3. Implement Shopify REST & GraphQL APIs 4. Configure secure OAuth authentication and webhook handling 5. Follow scalable architecture and coding best practices B. Data & infrastructure: 1. Design and manage databases (PostgreSQL preferred) 2. Implement background jobs and queue processing where required 3. Deploy and maintain applications on AWS / Heroku / cloud platforms 4. Ensure performance, security, and uptime of applications C. Integrations: 1. Integrate third-party systems (ERP, CRM, shipping, marketing tools) 2. Implement webhooks, event handling, and automation workflows D. Testing & maintenance: 1. Perform debugging, testing, and performance optimisation 2. Fix bugs and support live merchants 3. Maintain versioning, logs, and monitoring 4. Release patches, upgrades, and improvements E. Post-deployment responsibilities: 1. Ongoing support and troubleshooting 2. Feature enhancements and updates 3. Performance monitoring 4. Knowledge of Liquid templating 5. Experience with React and Shopify Polaris 6. Database design experience (PostgreSQL or similar) 7.
