Job Title: School Librarian / Information Resource Manager Location: Kondapur, Hyderabad Department: Academic Support / Library Media Center Job Purpose To manage the school’s physical and digital knowledge hubs, ensuring students and faculty have access to high-quality global resources. The Librarian at Sanskriti International is responsible for creating an inviting, tech-forward environment that promotes both traditional reading habits and modern information literacy. Key Responsibilities • Collection Development: Curate, catalog, and maintain a diverse collection of books, periodicals, and digital resources (e-books/audiobooks) aligned with the K-12 curriculum. • Literacy Promotion: Design and lead "Library Hour" activities, including storytelling for primary years, "Book of the Month" clubs, and author visit sessions. • Information Literacy: Teach Middle and Senior school students how to conduct academic research, cite sources (MLA/APA/Chicago styles), and identify credible online information. • Library Management System (LMS): Efficiently manage the issuance, return, and inventory of books using digital software (e.g., Koha, Lib-Man, or similar ERP modules). • Resource for Teachers: Collaborate with subject teachers to provide supplementary reading materials, research papers, and multimedia for their specific lesson plans. • Environment Curation: Maintain a quiet yet vibrant "Learning Commons" with organized sections, displays for new arrivals, and comfortable reading zones. • Budgeting: Propose and manage the annual library budget, ensuring the acquisition of the latest award-winning titles (Newbery, Caldecott, etc.) and academic journals.
