Position: PGT – Physical Education Employment Type: Full-Time, On-site Teaching Level: Senior Secondary Role Overview A PGT Physical Education Teacher is responsible for planning, teaching, coaching, and evaluating Physical Education curriculum for senior secondary students. The role includes fostering physical fitness, sportsmanship, healthy lifestyle habits, and preparing students for board examinations and competitive Key Responsibilities - Plan, prepare, and deliver theory and practical Physical Education lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum (CBSE or equivalent). - Teach physical fitness, health education, sports rules, and sports science concepts to senior secondary students. - Develop structured lesson plans, training sessions, and fitness programs tailored to student needs. - Prepare students for board exams in Physical Education (theory and practical assessments). - Organize and supervise sports activities, inter-school competitions, annual sports meets, and fitness events. - Assess and monitor student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate performance records. - Maintain sports equipment and ensure playing areas are safe and suitable for activities. - Encourage teamwork, discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship among students. Participate in academic meetings, parent-teacher meetings, and school events. Educational Qualifications ✔ Master’s Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) from a recognized institution. Skills & Competencies - Strong command of physical education theory, sports science, rules, and training methods. - Excellent communication, classroom management, and student engagement skills. - Ability to motivate students, organize activities, and work collaboratively with colleagues. - Leadership, organizational skills, and commitment to student development. - Knowledge of safety procedures, first aid, and injury prevention during physical activities.
