Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake | Azure | SQL | Databricks | DBT | Data Ops)

Role : Senior Data Operations Engineer Position Type : Full-Time Contract (40hrs / week) Contract Duration : 12 months+ (With a Possibility-of-Extension) Work Schedule : 8 hours / day (Mon-Fri) Work Hours : 8am-4pm EST, 4am-1pm EST Location : 100% Remote We’re looking for a Senior Data Operations Engineer to support and optimize a modern data stack. This role combines strong technical expertise in SQL & Python with deep experience in data warehousing, optimization, and cloud data platforms . You’ll oversee end-to-end data pipelines, improve performance and cost efficiency, and collaborate across engineering, analytics, and business teams to ensure high data quality and reliability. Key Responsibilities : • Manage and optimize end-to-end data pipelines and workflows • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement cost-saving improvements • Work with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Cloud, DBT , and ELT tools • Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and data quality validation • Collaborate with business teams on data integration and architecture • Drive automation and process improvements • Present insights and technical solutions to stakeholders Requirements : • 5+ years in data engineering / data operations roles • Strong SQL expertise • Experience with Snowflake and / or cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) • Experience with ELT tools (Azure Data Factory, Airflow) • Experience with git-based workflows • Strong understanding of data modeling & data architecture principles Nice to Have : • Strong Python skills • Experience migrating enterprise data warehouses to Snowflake • Airline industry experience
