Job Discerption – AM/DM- HR
Definition
The Assistant Manager – HR is responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations including recruitment, employee relations, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, performance management, and HR administration for the plant. The role ensures smooth HR functioning while supporting business objectives and maintaining compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Education
MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or MSW
Additional certification in labor laws preferred
Experience
8–10 years of HR experience in food manufacturing / FMCG / chocolate or confectionery industry ,Experience in plant HR operations preferred
Soft Skill
Analytical thinking., Good verbal and written communication
Job Discerption
1. HR Operations & Administration:
· Maintain employee records, personal files, and HR documentation.
· Handle joining formalities, induction, confirmation, transfers, and exit processes.
· Monitor attendance, leave management, and shift planning coordination.
· Ensure HRIS/ERP data accuracy.
2. Payroll and Statutory Compliances:
· Coordinate payroll processing with accounts/finance team.
· Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, Factory Act, and Minimum Wages.
· Liaise with government authorities and consultants for compliance matters.
· Maintain statutory registers and records.
· Prepare HR reports such as manpower reports, attrition, recruitment status, overtime, absenteeism, and cost analysis
3. Employee Engagement & Relations:
· Address employee grievances and disciplinary issues.
· Implement employee engagement activities and welfare initiatives.
· Promote positive workplace culture and employee satisfaction.
4. Coordination with Engineering & Purchase:
Coordinate closely with maintenance team for spare planning and preventive maintenance requirements.
Work with procurement team for timely ordering of spares.
Support shutdown planning by ensuring spare availability
5. Policies & Compliance:
· Implement HR policies, procedures, and company rules.
· Ensure compliance with food industry standards, audit requirements, and company code of conduct.
· Support internal and external audits.
