VMware Administrator

Job Title : VMware Administrator Organization : Som Imaging Informatics Pvt. Ltd. (Somnetics) Work Mode : Remote Experience : 5–6 Years Role Overview Som Imaging Informatics Pvt. Ltd. (Somnetics) is looking for an experienced VMware Administrator to join our Professional Services team. The role involves designing, deploying, managing, and optimizing VMware infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security of enterprise environments. Required Skills Strong hands-on experience (5–6 years) in VMware vSphere and ESXi Expertise in Windows Server environments Mandatory knowledge of Linux Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience in managing day-to-day infrastructure operations Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, VMs) including configuration of vMotion, Storage vMotion, HA, DRS, Fault Tolerance, and network setups (VLANs, port groups, NIC teaming, Distributed & Standard Switches, Private VLAN). Implement ESXi security controls, firewall policies, RBAC, and monitoring for vCenter clusters. Perform backup and recovery (Veeam, Nutanix Acropolis) and design backup & disaster recovery strategies with expertise in NFS, iSCSI, FC storage protocols. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues, conduct RCA, implement preventive fixes, and lead platform architecture design (middleware, databases, backup systems). Plan and manage vSphere lifecycle management, upgrades, migrations, installations, maintenance, while driving automation initiatives and Service Improvement Plans (SIP).
