Senior SAP FICO Functional Consultant

Position Title: Senior SAP FICO Functional Consultant Brief description: Analyze business requirements, configure SAP FICO modules, and delivering effective SAP solutions through system enhancements and process improvements. Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to implement and optimize finance-related SAP functionalities while supporting ongoing system enhancements, maintenance activities, and issue resolution. Work Location: Chennai Employment: Full time Experience level: 5+ years of experience in SAP Key responsibilities • Understand and analyze finance and costing business processes to support SAP solution design and improvements. • Facilitate implementation and enhancements of SAP FICO modules, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), GST, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, and Product Costing. Having Central Finance implementation experience will be an added advantage. • Perform detailed analysis of business requirements and translate them into appropriate SAP system solutions. • Identify process gaps, issues, and potential workarounds, and recommend improvements to business processes. • Design, configure, customize, and test SAP FI/CO module functionalities based on business requirements. • Collaborate with technical teams to support development of custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements. • Work independently on assigned tasks and contribute to solution design discussions. • Mentor or provide guidance to junior team members when required. • Support enhancement and maintenance activities by analyzing change requests (CR) and implementing configuration updates aligned with business requirements. • Investigate and resolve functional issues related to finance processes, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and recommend appropriate solutions. Required skills • Strong understanding of Finance and Costing processes. • Hands-on experience in SAP FICO configuration, including AP, AR, GL, GST, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Product Costing • Experience with integration between FI and other SAP modules such as MM, HR, PP, and PM. • Ability to perform business requirement analysis, solution design, configuration, and testing. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Desired skills • Experience working with SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation). • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance. • Experience collaborating with ABAP teams for functional specifications and enhancements.
