Role Details
We have an exciting opportunity for STEM - Junior Primary Technology Teacher position, working 0.2-0.4 FTE commencing 11th April 2026
Key Responsibilities
• Support, uphold and contribute to the Catholic Identity and Ethos of our school and the wider community.
• Apply curriculum knowledge and skills in contemporary and inclusive pedagogies using the Australian Curriculum to facilitate successful learning.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with students, staff, and families.
• Differentiate the curriculum in order to ensure all students have the opportunity to learn according to individual needs.
• Demonstrate a collaborative and independent approach to planning and programming.
• Assess, record and report learner achievement.
• Establish structures and processes to achieve a productive learning environment.
• Employ developing personal responsibility strategies which ensure a safe, orderly and successful learning environment.
• Ensure that confidential information is handled appropriately.
• Exercise a Duty of Care for Students and staff at all times.
• Be willing to participate in all aspects of school and parish life.
• Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time including record keeping.
• Participate in professional development activities which lead to improved student outcomes and strengthens the professionalism of the teacher.
About You
• Be qualified &/or experienced to teach Primary and have experience or interest in teaching technology.
• Plan a comprehensive learning program using the Australian Curriculum and relevant Pedagogies.
• Identify individual learning needs and styles, and plan learning experiences that enable all students to achieve success.
• Proven ability to collaboratively plan, deliver, and reflect on learning experiences in partnership with co-tecahers, ensuring cohesive and effective instruction.
• Know and understand a range of learning pedagogies and technologies and their application to the classroom.
• Proven experience in designing, planning, and teaching engaging Technologies and Science curriculum that fosters inquiry, problem‑solving, and hands‑on learning.
• Demonstrate an understanding of assessment and reporting in accordance with the assessment policy of the school.
• Establish positive and effective relationships with students.
• Establish and apply restorative Principles to ensure a safe orderly and successful environment.

The successful applicant will be required to attain and maintain a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), First Aid Certificate, SA Teachers Registration
Be willing to undertake Teacher Accreditation in Catholic Education SA training, along with any other compulsory training necessary for the role.
