As a young professional joining the Credit Product Centre team at Swiss Re, your role will involve supporting the deal teams for Trade Finance & Working Capital Solutions underwriting. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting professional and profound credit risk/rating assessment and financial analysis of a diverse set of corporates.
- Collating financial and other risk-relevant information and entering data in underwriting tools for underwriter review and validation.
- Improving credit file productivity and processing efficiency, and responding in a timely manner to credit/underwriting requests.
- Ensuring proper monitoring and oversight of the credit portfolio.
- Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders and underwriters.
This unique opportunity will allow you to implement your credit analytical skills with a real portfolio, relate economic developments to market performance, and support the deal teams to ensure sustainable profitability. You will collaborate with colleagues in diverse functions including underwriting, risk management, and portfolio management. Additionally, you will contribute to activities linked to the elaboration and implementation of the strategy of the Trade Finance & Working Capital Solutions team.
Qualifications required for this role include:
- 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis and credit-related work, preferably in a Credit Rating Agency or Trade Credit Insurance/Trade Finance division of a bank or factoring company.
- Knowledge of corporate loans and trade finance products is a plus.
- Strong academic background with a relevant business degree and/or post-graduate/MBA/CA/CFA similar qualification in finance.
- Proficiency in financial spreading, analysis, and projections.
- Ability to enrich credit analysis with current economic, industry, and market sentiments.
- Experience in assessing Obligors group structures and intragroup linkages to determine credit ratings.
- Attention to detail and ability to critically question rationales behind risk ceding applications.
- Prior experience in risk analytics and expert knowledge of Excel and other MS Office software.
- Flexibility to work in international project teams.
