Python Mobile Automation Engineer

Job Title: Python Mobile Automation Engineer (Python + Appium + Robot Framework) Location: Bangalore Experience Required: 5+ Years Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in mobile test automation for Android and iOS platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Python, Appium, and Robot Framework, along with a solid understanding of software testing methodologies and CI/CD practices. This role requires strong analytical skills, automation framework development experience, and the ability to work in Agile environments. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for Android and iOS applications. • Build and enhance automation frameworks using Python, Appium, and Robot Framework. • Execute functional, regression, integration, and API test cases. • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins). • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure high product quality. • Maintain version control of automation scripts using Git. • Identify test process gaps and propose automation improvements. • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. • Leverage AI tools, LLMs, or AI-based IDEs (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve test automation efficiency (Good to have). • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or RestAssured (Nice to have). • Support performance testing activities using tools such as JMeter (Nice to have). Required Skills • 5–7 years of experience in mobile test automation. • Strong proficiency in Python programming. • Extensive hands-on experience with Appium for Android and iOS automation. • Solid experience with Robot Framework for mobile automation. • Experience with automation testing frameworks (Selenium/Appium). • Understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices. • Experience with Git for version control. • Experience integrating automation suites with CI/CD tools (Jenkins). • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
