Windows System Administrator

Job Title: IT Administrator Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Administrator to manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including Windows Servers, IIS web servers, Microsoft SQL Server databases, firewall security, and networking equipment. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, security awareness, and experience in handling enterprise IT environments. Key Responsibilities1. 1. Windows Server & IIS Administration Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments. Deploy and manage websites and web applications on Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Services). Configure SSL certificates, bindings, application pools, and web security settings. Troubleshoot IIS-related performance and application issues. Monitor server health, uptime, and performance optimization. 2. SQL Server Administration Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances. Perform database backup, restore, and recovery operations. Monitor SQL performance, optimize queries, and manage indexing. Troubleshoot SQL errors and connectivity issues. Implement database security, user roles, and permissions. 3. Firewall & Network Security Management Configure and manage firewall devices such as Fortinet FortiGate and SonicWall. Create and manage access rules, NAT policies, VPN (Site-to-Site & SSL VPN). Monitor firewall logs and implement security best practices. Manage firmware upgrades and license renewals. Implement web filtering, IPS, and threat prevention policies. 4. Networking & Infrastructure Configure and maintain routers, switches, and wireless access points. Manage LAN/WAN connectivity and troubleshoot network issues. Monitor bandwidth utilization and optimize network performance. Implement VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and network segmentation. Maintain structured cabling and network documentation. 5. Backup & Security Implement and monitor backup solutions. Maintain endpoint security and antivirus solutions. Conduct regular patch management and system updates. Ensure compliance with IT security policies and standards. 6. User & Support Management Provide Level 1 & Level 2 technical support to users. Manage Active Directory users, groups, and policies. Handle hardware/software installations and upgrades. Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation. Required Skills & Qualifications bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field. 3–6 years of experience in IT infrastructure management. Strong hands-on experience with: Windows Server Administration IIS Web Server Microsoft SQL Server Firewall configuration (FortiGate/SonicWall preferred) Networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP) Knowledge of virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware) is an advantage. Good troubleshooting and analytical skills. Strong communication and documentation skills.
