PEB Team Lead (AutoCAD & Tekla)

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION A PEB Team Leader is responsible for managing and supervising a team of detailers, modelers, and checkers to ensure the successful completion of pre-engineered building (PEB) projects. The role involves work allocation, progress monitoring, quality assurance, coordination with design/QA/project management teams, and client communication when required. The Team Leader ensures that all deliverables are accurate, on schedule, and in compliance with standards and client requirements while also mentoring and guiding team members to improve their skills and efficiency. Need to Prepare the proper reports for all aspects. SKILL / TOOLS KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED • Diploma/Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). • 1015 years of experience in PEB detailing, modeling, and checking, with at least 24 years in a supervisory/lead role. • Strong expertise in Tekla Structures, MBS, AutoCAD, and ERP tools (Vision/PIM). • Deep knowledge of PEB systems, structural steel fabrication, erection, and connections. • Strong understanding of international codes (IBC, MBMA, AISC, IS, BIS, etc.). • Proven ability to lead teams, manage schedules, and deliver quality outputs under deadlines. • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client-handling skills. Ability to handle complex/skewed projects and guide teams through challenges. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Project & Team Management • Plan, allocate, and monitor detailing, modeling, and checking tasks across the team. • Track project schedules, ensuring timely completion of drawings, models, BOMs, and submissions. • Review workload distribution and optimize resource utilization. • Act as the primary point of contact between the team and project managers/design leads. 2. Technical Oversight • Review and approve critical drawings, models, and BOMs before submission. • Ensure compliance with company QA standards, client procedures, and international codes (IBC, MBMA, AISC, BIS, IS, etc.). • Resolve technical challenges, design clarifications, and field-related issues by coordinating with design engineers and QA teams. • Guide the team in handling complex or non-standard PEB conditions. 3. Quality Assurance • Enforce use of internal and external checklists (QA & CBB) before submission. • Monitor recurring errors and implement corrective/preventive actions. • Ensure zero major errors reach fabrication or erection stages. • Support internal/external audits and quality reviews. 4. Leadership & Mentoring • Provide mentorship, coaching, and training to detailers, modelers, and checkers. • Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions on standards, software best practices, and lessons learned. • Motivate the team to meet productivity, accuracy, and quality goals. • Support career growth and skill development of team members. 5. Communication & Reporting • Coordinate regularly with project managers, designers, and QA teams to align project progress. • Provide status updates, progress reports, and issue logs to higher management. • Communicate client concerns, project risks, and dependencies effectively. • Represent the team in client calls, design coordination meetings, and audits. 6. Continuous Improvement • Identify opportunities for process automation and standardization in detailing and modeling. • Work with ICT/QA teams to improve workflows and software setups.
