Ruby on Rails Engineer Experienced in Data Extraction & Web Scraping

Job description • Understanding the business requirements, features and functionalities of the product • Designing and developing web scraping agents for the required source e.g. website • Maintaining and troubleshooting existing web scraping agents • Writing and maintaining reliable Ruby code • Integrating data storage solutions • Creating back-end components • Identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs • Connecting with 3rd party APIs Required Candidate profile • Experience in web scraping techniques, regular expressions is a must • Excellent verbal and written English communication is mandatory • Good understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming • Proficiency in parsing and manipulating HTML, XML, JSON data formats. • Knowledge of HTTP, RESTful APIs, and web protocols. • A knack for writing clean, readable Ruby code • Ability to integrate multiple data sources into one system • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT • Familiarity with development aiding tools such as Bundler, Rake, etc • Familiarity with continuous integration Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year Benefits: • Health insurance • Work from home Application Question(s): • How much is your current CTC? • How much is your expected CTC? • How quickly can you join us?
