Senior Data Engineer(ADF+ ADS+ Data Admin 7-10 yrs)

• Design and develop SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers. • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and other Azure services • Create optimized data models (OLTP and OLAP) to support applications and analytics. • Develop data integration workflows across on‑prem and cloud environments. • Implement data quality checks, cleansing, and validation rules. • Collaborate with application and analytics teams on schema design and performance. • Analyze and understand business logic embedded in stored procedures and assist in rewriting or optimizing them for better performance and maintainability. • Install, configure, and maintain enterprise database platforms. • Monitor performance, troubleshooting queries, and perform optimization. • Perform regular database health checks and capacity planning. • Apply patches, upgrade, and perform routine maintenance • Ensure database reliability, uptime, and performance SLAs. What is the expectation of the candidate's current role/profile? • Strong proficiency in SQL (complex queries, stored procs, performance tuning). • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database). • Solid understanding of ETL processes • Understanding of data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schema, fact/dimension tables). • Experience in database performance tuning and execution plan analysis. • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD for data pipelines. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements. • Good communication and documentation abilities. • Ownership mindset and proactive problem-solving.
