The Role We are looking for a Special Educator who understands that: This is not a “worksheet job.” This is not babysitting. This is not exam coaching. At heart, this role requires someone who genuinely strives for excellence. This role requires: • Emotional intelligence • Structured thinking • Clear boundaries • Calm leadership • Genuine care You will be trained in our specially developed TEMMA Program and will gradually support higher phases as students progress and accelerate academically toward autonomy. Core Responsibilities 1️ Regulation & Co-Regulation • Support students in emotional regulation • Design sensory-friendly adjustments • Model calm, predictable adult presence • Use co-regulation scripts intentionally • De-escalate situations without shame You must be comfortable saying: “You are safe. We will figure this out together.” 2️ Individualized Support Planning • Develop individualized learning strategies • Adapt literacy and numeracy instruction • Track progress clearly and objectively • Identify patterns in behavior and learning You must think in systems, not reactions. 3️ Structured Academic Support • Deliver literacy and numeracy support • Break tasks into cognitively manageable steps • Encourage reasoning over memorization • Maintain academic expectations without emotional pressure We do not lower standards. We scaffold thoughtfully. 4️ Documentation & Communication • Maintain clear progress notes • Collaborate with the Head of Centre • Communicate with parents professionally and calmly • Avoid overdramatization or labeling 5️ Team Alignment • Work closely with facilitators and mentors • Participate in weekly case discussions • Offer observations without ego • Stay aligned with TEMMA language and protocols Who You Are Required • Degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field • Experience working with neurodivergent children • Strong English communication skills • Calm and steady personality • Ability to structure learning blocks effectively • Respectful of boundaries and hierarchy Highly Valued • Experience in special education • Familiarity with executive function training • Knowledge of sensory regulation strategies • Understanding of capability-based education • Ability to lead small-group structured sessions What We Are NOT Looking For • Overly reactive personalities • Highly dramatic communicators • “Fix-it” saviors • Rigid rule enforcers • Worksheet-dependent educators • Individuals uncomfortable with structure What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months) • Students demonstrate increased regulation stability • Students tolerate longer focused work blocks • Parents report improved independence at home • Documentation is clear and objective • You become a trusted, steady presence within the centre Growth Path This is not a stagnant position.
