AI Research Intern - RPA & Automation

About Thotfy Thotfy is India’s growing C2C marketplace focused on handcrafted products. We empower artisans, hobbyists, and small creators to sell across India without complex business barriers. We are building intelligent automation systems to streamline marketplace operations — and we’re looking for a curious AI Research Intern to help us automate repetitive workflows using RPA and AI. Role Overview As an AI Research Intern, you will research, design, and prototype automation systems to eliminate manual operational tasks at Thotfy using: • Robotic Process Automation (RPA) • AI agents • LLM-based automation • Workflow orchestration tools This is not a basic automation role - we want someone who thinks in systems. What You’ll Work On You will research and prototype automation for: • Product listing moderation automation • Vendor onboarding document verification • SEO automation for PDP and category pages • Automated seller communication workflows • Order → CRM sync automation • Policy compliance checking • Social media content generation agents You’ll evaluate tools like: • n8n / Zapier / Make • Selenium / Playwright • Python automation scripts • LLM APIs (Ollama / OpenAI / others) • LangGraph / multi-agent systems Required Skills • Basic knowledge of Python • Understanding of APIs and web scraping • Interest in AI agents / LLMs • Problem-solving mindset • Ability to break down business processes into automation steps Bonus Skills • Experience with RPA tools • Knowledge of Django • Experience with marketplaces or eCommerce • Familiarity with SEO automation • Docker basics What We Expect • Documented research reports • Automation prototypes • Clear process diagrams • Weekly progress updates • Initiative and independent thinking What You’ll Gain • Real-world AI automation experience • Exposure to building a marketplace startup • Opportunity for PPO (Pre-Placement Offer) • Direct mentorship in AI-driven systems Job Type: Internship Contract length: 6 months Pay: Up to ₹8,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate: • Peenya, Bengaluru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
