As a Regional Logistics Manager based in Bhiwandi (Thane), you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of logistics operations in the FMCD/FMCG/FMEG/Luggage/Building Material industry. Your key responsibilities will include: • *Warehousing:** - Identifying, selecting, and appointing 3PL/CFA service partners for warehousing - Day-to-day monitoring of multiple warehouses to ensure operational efficiencies and cost management - Leading warehouse capability enhancement projects and driving implementation - Conducting functional audits of all warehouses - Handling new warehouse launches, planning, and strategy - Ensuring compliance with the latest taxation rules related to warehousing in India, especially GST impact - Managing inventory effectively and implementing different planning techniques - Monitoring warehouse KPIs and operational metrics - Controlling warehouse costs, delegating authority, and enhancing processes - Supporting the Head of Logistics in executing the warehouse strategy - Implementing new IT/Automation techniques and processes as needed • *Transportation (First Mile + Mid Mile & Last Mile):** - Introducing new initiatives and innovations in transportation - Appointing and managing carriers, negotiating freight, and optimizing costs - Allocating loads to freight partners and monitoring performance - Evaluating and expanding coverage with new freight partners - Conducting audits to ensure adherence to SOPs - Assisting in regional planning and executing logistics projects - Monitoring SLAs and costs while maintaining service levels - Enhancing customer experience in transport • *Supply & Inventory Management:** - Ensuring efficient SKU placement at branch level for all channels - Managing demand & supply planning for the region - Coordinating with warehouses to ensure product availability - Meeting fill rate fulfillment targets • *People & Stakeholders Management:** - Defining and communicating SOPs to regional executives and partners - Developing competencies in the regional team - Providing training for skills enhancement and new technologies/initiatives - Collaborating with various stakeholders including Sales, Service, Commercial, and vendors • *Remarks:** - Experience in logistics operations is mandatory, and candidates from Accounts & Commercial backgrounds will not be considered - Exposure to CFA operations is essential - On-roll team handling experience is required - Travel requirement of a minimum of 10 days across respective zones - Working knowledge of SAP is preferred, and proficiency in Excel is compulsory - Strong communication and influencing skills are necessary - Seeking stable candidates with a preference for local candidates As a Regional Logistics Manager based in Bhiwandi (Thane), you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of logistics operations in the FMCD/FMCG/FMEG/Luggage/Building Material industry.
