Vehicle and Automobile Fabrication (India)

Required Skills & Experience : - 3–5 years (Automobile / Fabrication industry preferred) - Experience in automobile workshops, vehicle body builders, defence / special-purpose vehicle fabrication, or related industries. - Exposure to project execution and vendor coordination. - Willingness to work on shop floor / site as per project needs. Preferred Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Production /Industrial Engineering (or equivalent) Role Overview: We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with strong knowledge in automobile systems and vehicle fabrication, responsible for execution, supervision, and coordination of fabrication and assembly activities. This role is not design-focused; it involves working closely with fabrication teams, vendors, and project engineers / fitters to deliver quality vehicle modifications and assemblies as per project requirements. Key Responsibilities : - Plan, coordinate, and execute vehicle fabrication and assembly activities on shop floor and at project sites. - Interpret and work with existing fabrication drawings, layouts, and technical instructions provided by design teams. - Supervise fabrication teams (welding, sheet metal, structural fitment, canopy fabrication, etc.) to ensure quality and adherence to specifications. - Oversee mounting of LRUs / aggregates, chassis modifications, and vehicle body structural work. - Ensure dimensional accuracy, proper fitment, and alignment during fabrication and vehicle integration. - Coordinate with production, quality, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely• availability of materials and resources. - Support prototype build, vehicle trials, and resolve on-ground fabrication issues in real time. - Ensure adherence to safety protocols, fabrication standards, and maintain proper documentation of daily activities. - Liaise with vendors / subcontractors for outsourced fabrication and ensure compliance with technical requirements. - Assist in inspection, testing, and acceptance activities before and after vehicle dispatch. - Troubleshooting of Vehicle issues at Off-site and On-site Required Skills & Competencies: - Robust knowledge of automobile systems, vehicle chassis, suspension, body structures, and fabrication methods. - Practical experience in vehicle body building, structural fabrication, assembly, and integration.• Familiarity with fabrication processes like welding, machining, bending, cutting, surface finishing, and painting. - Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings (basic understanding; no design creation needed). - Good team coordination, leadership, and communication skills. - Problem-solving attitude and ability to handle on-site challenges effectively.• Knowledge of quality checks and inspection methods used in vehicle fabrication. - Preparation of Work Instruction / SOP / Safety Instructions, etc. Registration Link: https://forms.gle/ohXE6vvhhrFKwLxq8 Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year Benefits: - Health insurance - Provident Fund Work Location: In person
