Role Overview Unosecur is hiring Cybersecurity / Threat Researcher Interns to support and operate the Unosecur platform. This role combines security monitoring, IAM risk analysis, threat research, and platform operations. It is designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on exposure across both security operations and threat hunting. Key Responsibilities • Monitor alerts, events, and risk signals from the platform • Investigate suspicious activity, abnormal access behavior, and policy violations • Support IAM risk reviews including users, roles, permissions, and policies • Assist in policy creation, tuning, exception handling, and least-privilege workflows • Review findings related to IAM and access hygiene, and help track remediation • Monitor identity and access activity (authentication, authorization, sessions, MFA anomalies, privilege changes) • Assist in reviewing non-human identities such as service accounts, API keys, and certificates • Support threat monitoring, research, and analysis of security scenarios • Contribute to alert fine-tuning and improving signal quality • Prepare reports and document findings for internal teams and customers • Assist with platform operations, integrations, and dashboard improvements Role Expectations • Support monitoring, triage, investigation, and documentation under guidance • Assist in IAM risk analysis, findings review, and policy-related tasks • Contribute to threat research and analysis of suspicious behaviors • Learn platform workflows quickly and escalate issues when required Required Qualifications • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical training) • Understanding of authentication, authorization, IAM, access control, and logging • Ability to analyze alerts, logs, and access-related events • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Attention to detail and ability to work in a process-driven environment Exposure / Preferred Skills • Exposure to IAM, security monitoring, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Basic understanding of threat research, offensive security, or red teaming (through labs, coursework, or projects) • Familiarity with scripting (Python or similar) is a plus • Interest in cloud security and identity security
