About the Role :
As the Manager of HR Operations, you are the architect of the "Hire-to-Retire" journey. You will act as the
operational backbone of Varaha, ensuring 100% data integrity within Keka (HRMS), managing complex payroll/
tax computations, and overseeing statutory compliance. This role is perfect for a process-oriented leader who
enjoys transforming messy data into streamlined, audit-ready excellence while enhancing the employee
experience.
Core Responsibilities
HRMS & Data Governance (Keka Expert)
Own the HRMS (Keka) as the credible "Source of Truth" for all employee records.
Manage the entire employee lifecycle: new hire details, transfers, promotions, and salary revisions.
Execute mass data uploads for annual cycles including appraisals and bonus payouts.
Drive digitization of all physical records into secure, highly organized digital e-folders.
Seamless Onboarding & Offboarding
Streamline the Onboarding process: coordinate background verification (BGV), mandatory documentation,
and asset provisioning to ensure a "Day 1 Ready" experience.
Manage the Offboarding workflow: oversee resignation approvals, clearance coordination, and exit
interviews.
Execute precise Full & Final (F&F) Settlements, including leave encashment and issuance of experience/
relieving letters.
Payroll, Tax & Statutory Compliance
Prepare monthly payroll inputs with zero error tolerance and monitor tax calculations via Keka.
Manage end-to-end statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, LWF) and ensure PF Challans are filed without delay.
Act as the primary point of contact for external labor law audits and government inspections.
Benefits & Insurance Administration
Lead the administration of Group Medical Insurance: managing timely additions and deletions of
employees and their dependents.
Partner with insurance brokers to resolve employee claims and queries effectively.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 5-8 years in HR Operations & Payroll, preferably in a high-growth startup environment.
HRMS Tech: Deep expertise in Keka (or similar platforms like Darwinbox/GreytHR) is mandatory.
Compliance Savvy: Strong knowledge of Indian Labor Laws, PF ECR filing, and TDS/Income Tax rules.
Detail Oriented: An obsession with data accuracy and an "audit-ready" mindset.
