Varaha is a climate-first company that develops and scales high-quality, verifiable carbon projects across India and other smallholder farming economies. Location - Anywhere in Telangana

Role Overview

Lead and scale Regenec’s carbon project portfolio across Telangana & Andhra Pradesh, driving end-to-end execution of AFOLU (ARR/AWD) projects from origination to credit issuance.

Key Responsibilities

Own state-level pipeline development and execution of AWD carbon projects
Lead partnerships with government bodies, NGOs, and local stakeholders
Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle (feasibility → PDD → validation → issuance)
Ensure compliance with carbon standards (Verra VCS, VM0047, AR-ACM0003)
Provide technical oversight on carbon modelling, additionality, and baseline design
Manage cross-functional teams (field, GIS, MRV, carbon) for timely delivery
Drive validation, verification, and audit readiness with registries and auditors

Qualifications

3–7 years of experience in carbon projects / forestry / landscape restoration
Strong expertise in AFOLU projects, especially ARR
Proven experience managing multi-stakeholder, on-ground projects
Working knowledge of carbon standards and methodologies (VCS, VM0047, etc.)
Prior leadership experience managing teams and project delivery
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
AWD / agroforestry / watershed experience is a strong plus
