Plating Supervisor

Job Title: Plating Supervisor Department: Production – Plating Company: Vinayak Jewels India Pvt. Ltd. Reports To: Production Manager / Factory Head Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Plating Supervisor to oversee the electroplating operations in our jewellery manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing plating processes, ensuring high-quality standards, maintaining chemical baths, and supervising a team of plating technicians to ensure timely and accurate production output. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and coordinate all activities related to the plating process (gold, rhodium, silver, etc.). • Ensure quality standards are met in accordance with company and customer requirements. • Monitor and maintain plating bath chemical compositions and parameters. • Conduct regular testing and documentation of plating quality and thickness. • Troubleshoot plating defects and recommend process improvements. • Maintain plating equipment and ensure proper preventive maintenance is performed. • Train and guide plating operators and helpers. • Monitor plating inventory and coordinate with the purchase department for material requirements. • Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards in the plating department. • Record daily production reports and chemical usage logs. • Work closely with the quality control team to resolve any issues. Required Skills & Qualifications: • 1–2 years of experience in plating operations in the jewellery industry. • Strong knowledge of electroplating techniques, bath chemistry, and plating equipment. • Ability to read and understand technical documents and plating specifications. • Excellent leadership and team management skills. • Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Preferred Experience: • Experience in gold, rhodium, or micro plating in fine jewellery manufacturing.
