Staff Nurse (NICU)

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and skilled NICU Staff Nurse to provide specialized care for critically ill or premature newborn infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The NICU Nurse will monitor vital signs, administer medications, collaborate with physicians, and support families during the neonatal care process. Key Responsibilities • Provide high-quality nursing care to premature, critically ill, or medically fragile newborns. • Monitor and record vital signs including heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, and oxygen levels. • Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed by physicians. • Operate and monitor NICU equipment such as incubators, ventilators, and feeding pumps. • Assist neonatologists and pediatricians during medical procedures. • Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation. • Educate and support parents about infant care, breastfeeding, and discharge instructions. • Respond quickly to emergencies and changes in newborn health conditions. • Follow infection control protocols and NICU safety guidelines. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide optimal neonatal care. Qualifications • Education: B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution. • License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with the State Nursing Council. • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in NICU or neonatal care preferred. • Certifications: BLS/NRP certification preferred.
