ob Description – Part-Time Economics Teacher Position: Part-Time Teacher – Economics Department: Humanities / Commerce Reporting To: Academic Coordinator / Principal Working Type: Part-Time (2–4 hours per day or specific classes) Key Responsibilities 1. Teaching & Instruction • Teach Economics to students of Classes XI–XII (CBSE/ICSE/State Board). • Explain key topics such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Statistics, and Indian Economic Development. • Prepare lesson plans, notes, and presentations for effective teaching. 2. Student Assessment • Conduct tests, assignments, and class assessments. • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback for improvement. • Help students prepare for board examinations. 3. Classroom Engagement • Encourage discussion, analytical thinking, and real-world economic understanding. • Use case studies, examples, and current economic issues in teaching. 4. Academic Support • Provide doubt-clearing sessions and revision classes. • Support students in projects and practical assignments. 5. Coordination • Coordinate with the academic team regarding syllabus completion and student progress. • Attend important academic meetings or PTMs if required. Qualifications • Master’s Degree in Economics (M.A. Economics) – Preferred • B.A. Economics with relevant teaching experience may also apply. • B.Ed. is preferred but not always mandatory for part-time roles. Skills Required • Strong conceptual knowledge of Economics • Good communication and explanation skills • Ability to connect theory with real-life economic examples • Classroom management and student engagement skills Experience • 1–3 years teaching experience preferred. • Freshers with strong subject knowledge may also apply. Working Hours • Part-time: 2–3 days per week or 2–4 hours per day depending on class schedule. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
