React.js Lead - Javascript

Role Overview : As React Lead at Livelytics, you will serve as the technical and architectural owner of the frontend platform, responsible for how UI systems are designed, scaled, configured, and extended across the product. This is a platform leadership role, not feature-only development. You will define frontend frameworks, modular architecture, global configuration patterns, and development standards while leading and mentoring a team of frontend engineers. You will partner closely with backend, data engineering, and product teams to ensure the frontend is performant, extensible, and enterprise-ready for a data-intensive, AI-powered platform. What You Will Own : - Frontend platform architecture and framework strategy - Modular, reusable UI systems and design patterns - Global configuration, theming, and runtime extensibility - Frontend performance, scalability, and reliability - Technical direction and growth of the React team - Frontend contribution to overall product architecture Key Responsibilities : Frontend Platform Architecture & Frameworks : - Own the React platform architecture across the product - Design and implement modular, reusable frontend frameworks - Define global configuration patterns (theming, feature flags, permissions, tenant-level settings) - Establish patterns for extensibility and customization without code duplication - Ensure frontend architecture supports multi-tenant, enterprise use cases Engineering Excellence & Scalability : - Define standards for code structure, state management, and component composition - Lead performance optimization for large, data-heavy applications - Establish patterns for error handling, logging, and observability in the frontend - Ensure frontend reliability under high data volume and complex workflows - Guide adoption of best practices for accessibility and responsiveness Platform-Level Collaboration : - Partner with backend and data teams on API contracts and integration patterns - Collaborate with product and UX teams to translate complex workflows into intuitive experiences - Influence system-level design decisions beyond the frontend - Act as the frontend representative in architecture and design reviews Team Leadership & Mentorship : - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of React engineers and interns - Set the technical bar through code reviews and design walkthroughs - Coach engineers to think in terms of platforms and systems, not just screens - Guide junior engineers in architectural thinking and frontend best practices - Build a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement Delivery & Execution : - Balance long-term platform investments with near-term delivery needs - Own frontend technical roadmaps aligned with product growth - Identify and resolve architectural debt proactively - Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality frontend features Required Experience & Skills : Core Frontend Expertise : - 8 - 10+ years of frontend engineering experience - Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript - Proven experience building frontend frameworks or platforms, not just applications - Strong understanding of modular architecture and reusable component systems - Experience with advanced state management patterns Platform & Architecture Mindset : - Experience designing global configuration systems and runtime behavior - Understanding of multi-tenant frontend requirements - Experience supporting enterprise-scale products - Strong grasp of performance optimization for complex UIs - Ability to design frontend systems that evolve without rewrites Leadership & Collaboration : - Proven experience leading frontend teams or acting as technical lead - Strong mentoring and coaching skills - Comfortable influencing cross-functional technical decisions - Ability to translate product vision into scalable frontend systems - Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Why This Role Is Critical at Livelytics : - You define how the product is built, not just how it looks - Your decisions shape frontend scalability as the platform grows - You enable teams to build faster through strong frameworks and patterns - You ensure the frontend can keep pace with AI-driven product complexity - You act as a multiplier for frontend productivity and quality Ideal Candidate Profile : This role is ideal for someone who : - Has built or evolved a frontend platform at scale - Enjoys designing systems and frameworks, not just features - Balances hands-on coding with technical leadership - Thinks long-term about maintainability and extensibility - Wants to own and shape a core product platform in a growing company
