IT Applications Development (Power Platform and Azure)

About The Role We are looking for an IT Application Developer - Power Platform & Azure to join our Center of Excellence team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Power Platform solutions and Azure-based components that amplify SAP business processes in Plan to Make, Quality Management, and Logistics/Warehouse Management. You will work closely with stakeholders, Solution Architects, and administrators to translate needs into robust solutions that align to governance, standards, and security best practices. You will also operate within Scrum/Agile, contributing to sprint execution and team ceremonies to deliver continuous improvement. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and implement applications using the Microsoft Power Platform suite (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Copilot Agents). • Design, develop, and implement Azure-hosted application backends and integrations that support and extend SAP-amplifying solutions. • Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft services, third-party applications, and in-house systems, including SAP integrations via connectors and APIs. • Collaborate with stakeholders, Solution Architects, and Administrators to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions that follow existing governance. • Lead technical execution in Scrum/Agile, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives; proactively surface risks and impediments. • Ensure quality through testing and troubleshooting to validate functionality, reliability, and maintainability of applications and integrations. • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing Power Platform and Azure solutions, including incident/defect resolution and continuous improvements. • Follow and improve development standards, architecture patterns, and security best practices; contribute enhancements to existing standards where appropriate. • Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides for solutions, integrations, and operational support processes. • Stay up to date on platform developments and introduce new ideas and improvements to the team. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Proven experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven), Power Automate, and Power BI. • Experience delivering and operating solutions on Microsoft Azure services for cloud-native applications (e.g., Function Apps, Static Web Apps, Storage Account, Service Bus). • Strong understanding of implementing solutions with multiple data sources and connectors, including custom connectors/APIs when needed. • Strong understanding of RESTful API development and event-driven architectures (for integration-oriented Azure components). • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code on Azure (Bicep) for defining, deploying, and managing Azure resources. • Experience with Git and automated deployment practices (Power Platform and/or Azure CI/CD workflows). • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with global team members and stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; ability to test and troubleshoot effectively • Willingness to travel ~10%. Desired Qualifications • Microsoft Power Platform certifications and experience creating advanced components (e.g., plugins/PCF/client scripting). • Experience interfacing Power Platform applications with SAP • Experience with Agile development methodologies and working in an international multi-cultural environment
