Billing Specialist I (India)

Who We Are Looking For As a WebPT Junior Billing Specialist, you’ll be responsible for successfully filing, collecting, and resubmitting claims via electronic claim submission. You will also act as a lead within the department by assigning and directing work to other team members. What You’ll Be Doing As A Part of Our Team - Review, prepare, and submit electronic claims. - Diagnose and resolve issues associated with escalated or problematic accounts. - Identify and resolve exclusion trends, and follow up and re-submit claims when necessary. - Ensure first pass acceptance (FPA) and educate the team on any issues affecting FPA metrics. - Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance, adhering to all HIPAA regulations. - Perform such clerical functions preparing and stamping department mail and maintaining postage equipment and supplies. - Be ready to fly by the seat of your pants. This role is ever-evolving—just like WebPT—so while you don’t need to be Cirque du Soleil flexible, we may occasionally ask you to do a few cartwheels, or at least try some things outside of your wheelhouse. What You Should Have to Qualify - Have knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes as well as insurance guidelines—especially Medicare and Medicaid. - Must demonstrate flexibility and ability to multi-task in a quick paced environment. - Attention to detail, suggest areas of improvement. - Be organized, ahead of schedule, communicative, accountable - Excellent time management skills. - Partner and foster working relationships with colleagues, members and vendors as applicable. - Be energetic, possess integrity and a positive attitude, and have a hunger for knowledge and a passion for sharing it. - Know how to roll up your sleeves. Seriously, though, we love chips. - 1-5 years of experience in medical billing. - High School Diploma or GED Ideally, You Would Also Have These - Have experience with a variety of medical billing software. - Prior working knowledge of ICD-9 (bonus points for ICD-10) and CPT codes as well as insurance guidelines—especially Medicare and Medicaid.
