Job Title: Senior Data Engineer (SAP + Advanced Data Engineering) Location: Remote Employment Type: 6 Months Contract Experience Required: 9+ Years About the Role We are hiring experienced Senior Data Engineers for a 6-month contractual remote engagement. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in SAP data extraction, advanced data engineering practices, and hands-on experience building scalable batch and streaming pipelines. We are hiring for two Data Engineering roles with slightly different domain focus: 1. SAP Data Integration & Customer 360 Transformation 2. E-commerce Analytics with SAP Dataset Expertise Key Responsibilities - Fetch and process data from SAP systems. - Build and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines. - Develop scalable analytics data models. - Implement data quality frameworks and reconciliation processes. - Design canonical data models and handle SCD (Slowly Changing Dimensions). - Perform identity stitching and deduplication for Customer 360 initiatives. - Orchestrate workflows and manage production-grade data pipelines. - Ensure data governance, validation, and monitoring. Mandatory Technical Skills - Strong experience extracting and processing data from SAP systems (must be clearly demonstrated). - Python - SQL - Apache Spark - Databricks (Delta Lake, Structured Streaming) - Kafka - S3 ingestion pipelines - Databricks Jobs & Workflows - Data Quality tools (Great Expectations / Deequ) Core Data Engineering Concepts - Batch & Streaming architecture - Event-driven pipelines - Customer 360 transformation logic - Identity resolution & deduplication - SCD handling - Canonical data modeling - Data reconciliation & validation Role 2 Additional Preferred Experience (E-commerce Focus) - Experience working with e-commerce analytics datasets. - Strong understanding of transactional and behavioral data. - Experience handling SAP datasets within an e-commerce workplace. - KPI modeling, customer segmentation, and analytics transformation.
