We are seeking an experienced API Service Engineer to design, build, and maintain high-quality APIs that power our applications and integrations. You will work closely with backend engineers, frontend teams, and external partners to ensure our API ecosystem is secure, scalable, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.

• Build scalable services using modern backend technologies (Node.js, Python, Java, Go, etc.).

• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of API services.

• Implement authentication and authorization frameworks (OAuth2, JWT, API Keys).

• Develop and maintain API documentation using tools like Swagger/OpenAPI.

• Monitor API health, performance, and error logs; optimize where needed.

• Collaborate with product teams to understand API requirements and integration needs.

• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.

• Maintain secure API endpoints following industry security standards.

• Work with DevOps teams to deploy, monitor, and scale API services.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience building APIs and backend services.

• Proficiency in one or more server-side languages (Node.js, Python, Java, Go, Ruby, etc.).

• Solid understanding of REST architecture, GraphQL, and microservices.

• Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).

• Familiarity with API gateway tools (Kong, Apigee, AWS API Gateway, NGINX).

• Knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT, SSO, OpenID Connect).
