Role Overview: As a BI Analyst III at Utah Valley University (UVU) within the Business Intelligence & Research Services (BIRS) department, you will be a trusted and experienced analyst responsible for transforming complex institutional data into meaningful insights that drive decisions across the university. Your role will involve working with diverse data sources, creating high-quality dashboards and reports, and collaborating with campus partners to address important questions. You will contribute to both strategic and operational analytics to support internal decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain the quality of institutional databases by extracting and analyzing data for operational, strategic decision-making, and official reporting purposes. - Coordinate with BIRS leadership to collect, aggregate, and analyze data from various internal and external sources to provide insights into institutional performance. - Produce actionable reports, dashboards, and visualizations showcasing key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement, and conducting root cause analysis of issues. - Provide reporting solutions and fulfill ad-hoc report requests across multiple business areas, participating in the design and development of business intelligence reporting tools used by Academic Affairs. - Train and mentor junior analysts on data analysis techniques, data visualization tools, and best practices for data management and governance. - Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in data analysis, data management, data visualization, and storytelling with data. Qualification Required: - Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree and one year of related experience or a total of five years of education and experience combined.
