Job Title: Academic Assistant – PSC (Offline) Department: Academic Operations – Govt. Exams (PSC) Location: Kozhikode Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary The Academic Assistant – PSC will support the smooth execution of academic activities for government exam batches. The role involves student mentoring, attendance tracking, exam coordination, classroom readiness, academic documentation, and student support. The position requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and a student-focused mindset to ensure an effective and disciplined learning environment. Key Objectives - Motivate and guide students to achieve academic goals and improve performance. - Build student interest in PSC preparation and academic activities. - Provide accurate academic information and timely support to students. - Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional mentoring relationship. - Encourage students to take ownership of their learning and growth opportunities. Core Responsibilities1. Student Mentorship & Support - Maintain a positive and professional mentoring relationship. - Provide academic guidance and general mentoring support. - Address student queries related to academics, schedules, and preparation. - Monitor student engagement and learning progress. 2. Attendance Management - Maintain accurate daily attendance records. - Admit students to classes after verifying profile details. - Track irregular attendance and inform academic/admin teams. - Follow up with continuously absent students and coordinate with parents when required. 3. Exam Coordination - Assist in organizing and conducting examinations. - Ensure exam discipline and adherence to guidelines. - Collect, organize, and support evaluation of answer sheets. - Publish results and maintain proper exam records. 4. Classroom & Faculty Support - Prepare classrooms and required learning resources before sessions. - Coordinate with faculty to ensure smooth class execution. - Maintain a distraction-free and student-friendly learning environment. 5. Academic Documentation - Update and maintain the Portion Book with syllabus coverage and lesson plans. - Ensure classes progress according to academic planning. - Report syllabus delays or deviations to the academic team. 6. Asset Management - Maintain and monitor academic assets (iPads, projectors, microphones, Apple TVs). - Ensure availability, proper handling, and functioning of equipment. 7. Communication & Information Sharing - Post timetables, exam updates, and academic announcements. - Ensure timely communication across student groups and batches. 8. Feedback & Improvement - Collect student feedback regarding teaching quality and academic experience. - Share insights with faculty and administration for improvements. 9. Fee Collection Support - Remind students and parents about fee due dates. - Record payments and issue receipts accurately. - Verify discounts and report discrepancies. - Handover collections to accounts with proper documentation. - Track pending fees and report defaulters. Required Skills & Competencies - Strong coordination and organizational skills - Student mentoring and interpersonal abilities - Attention to detail and documentation accuracy - Basic administrative and data management skills - Communication skills (Malayalam & English preferred) - Ability to handle multiple academic tasks efficiently Preferred Qualifications - Any Bachelor’s degree - Experience in academic coordination, mentoring, or PSC coaching environments preferred - Familiarity with government exam preparation structure is an added advantage Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month Application Question(s): - Are you a PSC aspirant ?
