About The Role We are seeking an experienced Spotfire Developer with strong hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing data visualizations and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in data modelling, scripting, dashboard development, and integrating Spotfire with various data sources. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain TIBCO Spotfire dashboards, reports, and self-service analytical solutions. • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective dashboard designs. • Develop complex Spotfire visualizations, interactive dashboards, and advanced analytics using: • IronPython scripting • Data Functions (R / Python) • Custom expressions • TERR or external engines • Optimize dashboard performance through best practices in data modelling, caching, and information links. • Integrate Spotfire with various data sources (SQL Server, Oracle, SAP, Snowflake, REST APIs, etc.). • Build and manage Information Links, Data Tables, Data Models, and Scheduled Updates. • Implement row-level security, user access controls, and governance policies. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data connectivity, performance, and visualization rendering. • Work with cross-functional teams—data engineering, business analysts, and product owners. • Support deployments, upgrades, and migrations of Spotfire environments. Technical Skills Required Skills & Experience • 4–6 years of hands-on experience in TIBCO Spotfire development. • Proficiency in IronPython scripting for automation and custom UI enhancements. • Strong SQL expertise (writing complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning). • Experience in data modelling and data preparation. • Hands-on exposure to Spotfire Server, Library Administration, and User/Group Management. • Experience with Spotfire Data Functions using Python/R (preferred). • Familiarity with Spotfire Mods, Custom Visuals, and JavaScript API (nice to have). • Ability to integrate with cloud databases (Snowflake, Azure SQL, AWS Redshift etc.) is a plus. Soft Skills • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management. • Ability to work independently and in Agile teams. • Strong attention to detail and quality mindset. Education • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
