We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Hospital Administrator to support daily operations, ensure smooth coordination between clinical and non-clinical teams, and enhance patient experience.

Role Overview

The Assistant Hospital Administrator will work closely with the leadership team to manage day-to-day hospital operations, staff coordination, patient services, and administrative processes to maintain high standards of efficiency, compliance, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily functioning of OPD, day-care surgery, and patient services
  • Ensure smooth coordination between doctors, nursing staff, OT staff, and support teams
  • Monitor patient flow from registration to discharge
  • Maintain operational efficiency and reduce waiting times

OT & Clinical Coordination

  • Coordinate OT schedules with surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff
  • Ensure OT readiness, equipment availability, and case planning
  • Monitor surgical scheduling and bed utilization

Patient Experience & Quality

  • Ensure premium patient experience and grievance resolution
  • Supervise front office and patient counseling teams
  • Maintain high standards of hospitality and patient satisfaction

Staff Management

  • Assist in recruitment, training, and supervision of administrative and support staff
  • Ensure discipline, attendance, and performance monitoring
  • Conduct regular staff briefings and operational reviews

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain hospital policies, regulatory compliance, and documentation
  • Ensure NABH protocols and infection control practices are followed
  • Maintain vendor documentation and service agreements

Finance & Vendor Coordination

  • Monitor billing processes and ensure transparency
  • Coordinate with vendors for supplies, equipment servicing, and maintenance
  • Track operational expenses and assist in budgeting

Marketing & Growth Support

  • Assist in implementing marketing initiatives, patient outreach, and referral programs
  • Support digital presence and patient engagement activities

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hospital Administration / Healthcare Management / MBA (Healthcare)
  • Preferred: MHA / MBA Healthcare / BHA

Experience

  • 3–6 years experience in hospital or surgical centre administration
  • Experience in day-care surgery centres or specialty hospitals preferred
