Associate Program Manager, The Mitra Fellowship

iTeach Schools

IN Full–Time

Why do we exist? What do we do?

The quality of school education available to students from low-income communities across India is abysmal. Their chances of attending college or building a career are significantly lower than their high-income peers, condemning them to a life without voice or choice. iTeach was born in 2015 to challenge this status quo and create a level playing field for ALL children.

We run free and high-impact schools and an exceptional college-to-career program for the most disadvantaged students in Pune and Navi Mumbai. We are known for our world-class professional development, our result-oriented team culture, and our student-centric school design. Read more about us at www.iTeachSchools.org.

Responsibilities

The Mitra Fellowship is College to Career World's flagship program, contributing to its vision of an alumni-led movement of change. 25 young leaders, leading a group of 4300 alumni, is a one-of-a-kind, real, exciting youth-leadership fellowship which can ensure 4300 student-alumni get to their dream careers. Starting the fourth cohort in June 2026, the Mitras are the heart of C2C's program - connecting student-alumni to C2C and making C2C's programs reach student-alumni.

Mitras lead the Engagement piece for all 4300 alumni through sharing circles, sports matches, college catch-ups, reunions, hobby clubs, field trips, and much more. Keeping all alumni engaged forms the foundation on which other C2C programs, like careers and admission build on. Mitras are college-going youth who mentor their peers or juniors, lead a group of 120-150 student-alumni towards a strong college to career transition and ensure no student-alumni is left unattended. It is a paid 1-year fellowship, with 3 managers managing, coaching the Mitras towards being better connectors, facilitators, mentors, and executors.

The Program Manager is going to lead this team of 3 associates and over 25 Mitras. See the work of the C2C team in a brief video here!
