About the job:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our autonomous vehicle development team. In this role, you will design and develop mechanical components and systems for AI-driven automated vehicle, ensuring reliability, safety, and integration with advanced sensors and computing systems used in autonomous mobility.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and structures for autonomous vehicle platforms.
- Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and documentation using CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360, etc.).
- Perform tolerance analysis, structural analysis, and thermal considerations for vehicle components.
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation of mechanical systems.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, durability, and cost efficiency.
- Participate in design reviews and implement improvements based on test results.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in automotive, robotics, or mobility systems.
- Strong experience with CAD software such as , CATIA, Fusion 360, or similar tools.
- Understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience designing components for sensor mounting, vehicle structures, or robotic systems.
- Ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with chassis design .
- Knowledge of simulation tools (ANSYS, MATLAB).
- Familiarity with GD&T .
- Experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, CNC machining).
