Woodston Personnel have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant in Pediatric Dentistry (Pedodontics) role with our client in KSA. The Consultant is a senior specialist responsible for providing comprehensive oral healthcare to infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs. The consultant will diagnose, prevent, and manage dental and oral conditions in pediatric patients while promoting oral health education and preventive care. The role includes providing advanced clinical care, participating in multidisciplinary management of complex pediatric cases, supervising dental trainees, and contributing to service development, research, and quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist paediatric dental care including diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental and oral diseases in children and adolescents.
  • Perform restorative, preventive, and therapeutic dental procedures appropriate for pediatric patients.
  • Manage dental trauma, dental caries, developmental anomalies, and oral infections in children.
  • Provide care for children with special healthcare needs and complex medical conditions.
  • Deliver dental care under sedation or general anesthesia where required and in accordance with institutional policies.
  • Develop and implement preventive oral health programs for pediatric populations.
  • Work closely with pediatricians, orthodontists, oral surgeons, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) discussions for patients requiring complex care.
  • Provide consultation and advice to other healthcare professionals regarding pediatric oral health.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of pediatric dental services.
  • Participate in service planning, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support implementation of best practices and clinical guidelines in pediatric dentistry.
  • Provide teaching and supervision to dental trainees, residents, dental students, and allied dental professionals.
  • Participate in educational activities such as seminars, clinical teaching sessions, and case reviews.
  • Support continuing professional development within the dental department.
  • Participate in clinical research related to pediatric dentistry and oral health.
  • Contribute to publications, presentations, and academic collaborations where appropriate.
  • Support innovation and adoption of evidence-based practices in pediatric dentistry.

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification

US Board/ FRCS - Irish, UK, Canadian, New Zealand or Australian/ Diploma d'Etudes Specialises (DES)/ CIS French Board/ Fachart & Sub- Board/ Fellowship / Board / Fellowship / Sweden / Belgium / Finland / Spain

Must have at least 3-5 years of post-consultant or senior specialist experience

Eligible for consultant licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
