Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate MD Internal Medicine specialist to join our clinical team. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. The role requires strong clinical judgment, patient-centered care, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to adult patients in outpatient (OPD), inpatient (IPD), and emergency settings.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, infections, respiratory diseases, and lifestyle-related disorders.
- Conduct detailed patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Coordinate with specialists, nursing staff, and allied health professionals for integrated patient care.
- Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and clinical audits.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health promotion, and lifestyle modifications.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and ethical standards.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care management when required.
Qualifications
- MD (Doctor of Medicine) in Internal Medicine from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid registration with the Tamil Nadu Medical Council or Medical Council of India (NMC).
- Minimum 1–5 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (preferred).
- Fresh MD graduates with strong clinical skills may also be considered.
