- Key Responsibilities:**
- Utilize workflow manager/schedulers such as Airflow, Luigi, or Oozie to streamline processes
- Demonstrate proficiency in Python for developing and maintaining systems
- Apply ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) techniques to manage data effectively
- Implement batch processing frameworks like Spark and MR/PIG for efficient data processing
- Work with a variety of file formats including parquet, JSON, XML, thrift, avro, and protobuff
- Utilize a rule engine such as drools for effective business rule management
- Navigate distributed file systems like HDFS, NFS, AWS, S3, and equivalents
- Design and configure dashboards for data visualization and analysis
- Qualifications Required:**
- Experience with data platform technologies, including building data lakes and working with real-time applications/frameworks like storm, flink, and spark
- Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure
- Knowledge of file encoding types such as Thrift, Avro, Protobuff, Parquet, JSON, and XML
- Proficiency in working with databases like HIVE and HBASE
