Job summary
Sierra Circuits is seeking skilled DFA engineers to support PCB assembly and manufacturing readiness. This role focuses on design analysis, manufacturability checks, and close collaboration with customers and internal teams to ensure high-quality, cost-effective PCB fabrication and assembly.
Essential skills and qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related engineering discipline.
Software and tools:
Hands-on experience and proficiency with DFA tools.
Ability to review and analyze Gerber and ODB++ data.
Technical expertise:
Strong understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes.
Experience reviewing Bill of Materials (BOM) for accuracy and completeness.
Solid problem-solving skills related to manufacturing and assembly challenges.
Key responsibilities:
Perform DFA analysis to ensure PCB designs meet assembly and manufacturing requirements.
Review Gerber/ODB++ files and BOMs for completeness, accuracy, and manufacturability.
Verify correct component selection, footprint dimensions, polarity, and spacing for soldering.
Ensure adequate component clearances, correct drill file specifications, and effective thermal relief.
Identify potential assembly issues early to prevent board re-spins and reduce overall costs.
Collaborate with designers and customers to resolve issues and recommend design or component alternatives when necessary.
Document findings clearly and communicate recommendations effectively to stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Shift information:
Day shift: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Night shift: 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Rotational shift every 2 weeks
