Report to: Marketing Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Photography: Capture high-quality images of Soulflower products, including oils, soaps, and other beauty products, for use in online and offline marketing materials.
  • Lifestyle Photography: Create lifestyle images that resonate with our brand's natural and holistic approach, showcasing products in real-life scenarios.
  • Product Videography: Shoot high-quality product videos including demos, texture shots, application videos, and promotional creatives for digital platforms and performance marketing.
  • Lifestyle Videography: Create engaging lifestyle videos featuring products in real-life settings, influencer-style shoots, tutorials, and brand storytelling content.
  • Short-form Content Creation: Develop Reels, short ads, behind-the-scenes videos, and social media-first content optimized for Instagram, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
  • Content Creation: Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to develop visual content for social media, website, email campaigns, marketplaces, and other digital platforms.
  • Photo & Video Editing: Edit and retouch photos and videos to meet Soulflower’s quality standards, including color correction, background cleanup, sound editing, color grading, transitions, and adding basic motion graphics/text overlays.
  • Shoot Planning & Execution: Plan and execute photo and video shoots, including scripting (when required), scouting locations, coordinating with models, managing props, lighting, camera setup, and audio equipment.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all visual content (photo & video) aligns with Soulflower’s brand identity and aesthetic, maintaining consistency across platforms.
  • File Management: Organize and manage photo and video libraries, ensuring proper storage, backups, and easy access for various teams.
  • Collaborative Projects: Work closely with the design and performance marketing teams to produce visual assets for promotional materials, packaging, advertisements, and paid campaigns.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain photography and videography equipment (cameras, lenses, gimbals, microphones, lighting gear) and ensure all tools are in optimal working condition.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in photography and videography, preferably in product, beauty, or lifestyle brands.
  • Education: A degree in Photography, Visual Arts, Film Production, or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and lighting setups
  • Experience with video equipment (gimbals, tripods, microphones)
  • Strong command of Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom
  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro / Final Cut Pro;

After Effects is a plus)

  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating both photography and videography work, particularly in product and lifestyle content.
  • Creativity: A keen eye for composition, lighting, motion, and storytelling, with the ability to conceptualize and execute creative ideas.
  • Communication Skills: Robust verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple shoots and editing timelines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
