As an Embedded Device Testing Engineer at Abbott, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of embedded devices through comprehensive testing processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing detailed test cases
  • Performing manual testing for embedded systems
  • Managing all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
  • Conducting in-depth failure analysis to identify root causes of issues
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure thorough test coverage
  • Executing regression testing to maintain software stability
  • Applying programming skills in C or C for whitebox testing efforts
  • Validating software at the code level by working closely with development teams
  • Integrating unit testing into the development workflow

To excel in this role, you must have:

  • Proven experience in embedded device manual testing and whitebox/unit testing
  • Practical knowledge of C/C programming and communication protocols like I2C and SPI
  • Hands-on experience in regulated environments such as medical, automotive, or aerospace sectors
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in technical documentation
