You are passionate about building scalable, high-quality full-stack applications in a collaborative, fast-paced product environment. As an Experienced Senior Software Engineer Full Stack (Java & React mandatory) at Transport Exchange Group (TEG), you will have the opportunity to work on both backend and frontend technologies, contributing to the design, development, and optimization of mission-critical systems powering the transport and logistics industry.
- Role Overview:**
You will play a key role in shaping scalable architecture, improving system performance, and delivering high-quality product features used by thousands of businesses.
- Key Responsibilities:**
- Contribute to shared delivery objectives and actively participate in agile ceremonies
- Understand product and engineering requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions
- Propose low-level designs and define implementation tasks
- Write clean, well-structured, performant Java and React code
- Maintain high code quality through strong automated test coverage
- Diagnose and resolve customer-impacting production issues
- Identify and drive technical and process improvements
- Participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards
- Collaborate with DevOps, Product Managers, UI/UX designers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software
- Qualifications Required:**
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- A minimum of 7+ years of commercial experience working with Java and React
- Ability to write performant, testable, and maintainable Java code
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem, Hibernate, Maven
- Experience building services in event/stream-based systems (SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Pulsar)
- Strong React & TypeScript expertise including React Hooks, TypeScript, micro-frontend, monorepo architectures, state management, styling, and unit testing
- Strong understanding of best practices across design, build, and deployment of Java services
- Fluent in TDD and familiar with BDD
- Experience with Git, JIRA, Confluence, Maven, Docker, Jenkins
- Experience building RESTful services in microservices architectures
- Experience working within cloud environments (ideally AWS)
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, especially PostgreSQL
