As the CFO of the QSR Division at a leading Indian food & beverage brand, your primary responsibility will be to lead the financial strategy, governance, capital planning, and performance management of the fast-growing QSR business. You will play a crucial role in partnering with the Business Head and leadership team to ensure disciplined financial management while enabling aggressive expansion across India and international markets. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Define and drive the long-term financial strategy aligned with domestic scale-up and international expansion.
  • Lead capital allocation decisions for new store rollouts, format expansion, and overseas market entry.
  • Evaluate franchise, JV, and partnership models from a financial and governance perspective.
  • Support potential fundraise, debt structuring, or strategic investor engagement if required.

As the CFO, you will also be responsible for:

  • Acting as a financial advisor to the Business Head and Board on strategic decisions.
  • Driving annual operating plans, budgeting, and rolling forecasts across outlets and regions.
  • Establishing solid unit economics frameworks such as store-level EBITDA, payback periods, and ROI.
  • Monitoring KPIs including same-store sales growth, gross margins, working capital, and cash flow.

Furthermore, your role will involve:

  • Leading accounting, FP&A;, treasury, taxation, audit, compliance, and MIS functions.
  • Ensuring timely closure of books and accurate reporting to the leadership.
  • Establishing robust financial controls across inventory, procurement, outlet cash management, and supply chain.
  • Strengthening governance and internal audit systems to support scale and global operations.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Driving structured margin improvement initiatives across product mix, procurement, and operations.
  • Improving cost visibility at outlet and SKU level.
  • Partnering with procurement and operations teams to optimize supply chain efficiency.

Additionally, you will lead financial planning for international expansion, manage FX exposure, overseas compliance, and cross-border structuring. It will be essential to support the evaluation of acquisitions, alliances, or new business formats. You will also be tasked with building and scaling a high-performance finance organization, institutionalizing systems, processes, and digital finance tools, and mentoring finance leaders to instill strong financial discipline across business teams.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Proven CFO / Senior Finance Leader with 1520 years of experience in QSR, retail, hospitality, or consumer businesses.
  • Strong exposure to multi-unit retail operations and franchise models.
  • Deep expertise in financial strategy, capital planning, governance, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience in scaling businesses and driving profitability.
  • Strong executive presence with Board-level stakeholder management capability.
  • Experience in managing expansion, transformation, or structured growth environments.
  • Chartered Accountant preferred; MBA Finance with a strong controllership foundation considered.
