Head of Product / Principal Product Manager

Jurisphere AI

Karnataka, IN Full–Time

About Jurisphere

Jurisphere is building an enterprise-grade AI platform for lawyers and law firms: document review, research, drafting, translation, and multi-step AI-powered workflows.

We serve leading law firms in India and are expanding into more enterprise, regulated, and on-prem environments. Our product is complex, high-stakes, and workflow-heavy. This is not a simple CRUD SaaS.

We are still shaping the core product and platform.

The Role

We are looking for a senior, builder-type product leader to own product strategy, prioritization, and roadmap execution end-to-end.

You will be the single-threaded owner of product direction and the traffic controller between customers, sales, founders, and engineering.

You are the first PM. There is no one to hand things off to. You will be the one writing the first 50 PRDs.

This is a high-ownership, high-agency role. You will not just write specs, you will decide what we build, what we don’t, and why.

If you enjoy ambiguity, hard tradeoffs, and shaping complex systems, you’ll love this role.

What You Will Own

  • End-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and prioritization
  • Triage and decision-making across:
  • Customer requests
  • Sales commitments
  • Platform investments
  • Tech debt
  • Long-term bets
  • Customer discovery:
  • Regular calls with users and decision makers
  • Separating real problems from feature requests
  • Problem framing & scope definition:
  • Turning messy problems into clear bets
  • Breaking big initiatives into shippable milestones
  • Execution clarity:
  • Making sure engineering always works on the highest-impact things
  • Competitive and market research
  • Saying no to the wrong things and defending those decisions

What You Will Work On

  • AI-powered legal workflows
  • Review & collaboration systems
  • Task, approval, and audit systems
  • Enterprise features (permissions, audit logs, compliance)
  • Workflow builders and orchestration systems
  • Platform vs product tradeoffs

Who This Role Is For

We’re looking for a builder who has:

  • Experience: We care more about what you have built than how long you've been doing it. Ideally, you have 6+ years of experience in B2B SaaS or complex platforms, with at least one “full cycle” (from launch to scale or pivot) under your belt.
  • Has worked in:
  • B2B SaaS, platforms, devtools, or workflow-heavy products
  • Has owned products or large product areas end-to-end
  • Has operated in:
  • High-ambiguity
  • Fast-changing
  • Constraint-heavy environments (startups, scaleups, or 0→1 / 1→10 phases)

You might be:

  • An ex-founder
  • An ex-engineer who moved into product
  • Or a career PM who was an early or core PM at a strong startup

The label does not matter. The ownership and depth does.

What We Care Deeply About

  • You think in systems and second-order effects
  • You are comfortable with hard tradeoffs
  • You have:
  • Killed features you liked
  • Said no to big customers
  • Rewritten roadmaps under pressure
  • You can discuss:
  • Platform vs product investments
  • Backward compatibility
  • Migration risk
  • “If we do X now, what does it block later?”

You do not need to code, but you must be comfortable going deep with engineering.

This Role Is NOT

  • Not a Jira ticket writer
  • Not a requirements collector
  • Not a process-first role. You build processes that serve the product, not the other way around.
  • Not for:
  • Early-career PMs
  • Big-company-only PMs
  • People who prefer stable roadmaps and low ambiguity

What Success Looks Like, After 6–9 Months

  • The roadmap is coherent, defensible, and calm
  • Engineering is focused, not thrashing
  • Sales knows what is possible and what is not
  • Founders are no longer the bottleneck for product decisions
  • Customers see systematic, compounding progress

The Challenge: "Lawyers are the most demanding users on earth. They are paid to find errors. You will be building AI tools for people whose job is to distrust automation. Your challenge is to build products that move from 'cool AI demo' to 'essential daily utility' in a high-stakes, billable-hour environment."

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Reports to: Founders (CEO/CTO)
  • Works closely with:
  • Engineering leadership
  • Sales / GTM
  • Customer success

Compensation

  • ₹30L – ₹60L fixed. Can stretch for exceptional candidates.
  • Plus meaningful ESOPs

How We Evaluate Candidates

We care more about:

  • What you’ve built
  • What you’ve killed
  • What you’ve owned
  • What tradeoffs you’ve personally made

Than:

  • Frameworks
  • Pretty decks
