Hospital Pharmacist: The Hospital Pharmacist ensures the safe, effective, and economical use of medicines. You are the final check in the clinical chain, collaborating with doctors and nurses to optimize patient outcomes. Core Responsibilities * Clinical Validation: Reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and potential drug interactions. * Medicine Compounding: Preparing specialized medications, including IV infusions, oncology treatments, and TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition). * Ward Rounds: Consulting with medical teams to advise on drug selection and monitoring patient responses. * Medicines Management: Overseeing the procurement, storage, and secure distribution of controlled substances and high-value drugs. * Patient Counseling: Educating patients on how to manage their medications post-discharge to prevent readmission. Essential Skills * Clinical Precision: An eye for detail that catches a minor dosing error before it reaches a patient. * Decisiveness: Ability to make quick, evidence-based decisions in emergency or ICU settings. * Communication: Translating complex pharmacology into clear instructions for both surgeons and patients.
