Role Overview The Head of Technician will lead the technical operations of GBG Electric's EV fleet, ensuring all vehicles remain operational, safe, and efficiently maintained across all hubs. The role includes managing technician teams, implementing preventive maintenance systems, minimizing downtime, and maintaining service quality for the growing EV fleet.Key Responsibilities1. Fleet Maintenance Management Oversee maintenance and servicing of all EV two-wheelers in the fleet .

Ensure maximum vehicle uptime and operational efficiency .

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules .

Monitor battery health, motor performance, and vehicle diagnostics.

  1. Technician Team Management Recruit, train, and manage a team of technicians across hubs .

Assign technicians for hub-based maintenance and field repairs .

Ensure technicians follow standard repair protocols and safety guidelines .

  1. Hub Technical Operations Set up technical service processes at each EV hub .

Ensure hubs maintain basic spare parts and repair tools inventory .

Coordinate with operations team for vehicle deployment and replacement .

  1. Spare Parts & Inventory Control Manage inventory of spare parts, batteries, and components .

Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for parts procurement.

Maintain records of parts usage and repair history .

  1. Technical Troubleshooting Handle complex technical issues and escalations .

Coordinate with OEMs and manufacturers for technical support.

Ensure quick resolution to minimize vehicle downtime.

  1. Reporting & Data Monitoring Track and report key metrics such as:

Fleet uptime

Maintenance cost per vehicle

Breakdown frequency

Battery replacement cycles

Prepare weekly and monthly technical reports for management.

  1. Safety & Compliance Ensure all repairs and servicing meet safety standards .

Maintain compliance with EV technical guidelines and company SOPs .

Required Qualifications Diploma / B.Tech in Automobile / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering

5–8 years experience in EV / automobile service operations

Experience managing technician teams and fleet maintenance

Key Skills EV diagnostics & repair

Fleet maintenance management

Technician team leadership

Spare parts and inventory control

Problem-solving and troubleshooting

Process implementation for multi-location operations

Preferred Experience Experience working with EV two-wheelers or fleet companies

Experience handling 100+ vehicles fleet maintenance

Familiarity with battery swapping or EV charging infrastructure
