Legal Counsel (GST & Customs) (India)

Role Description:

• Full-time in office role available at DS Advocates in Chennai for 3 Associates.
• Responsibilities include performing Indirect Tax related work (GST & Customs), drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting legal research, providing legal advice, maintaining client relations, assisting in court proceedings, and ensuring compliance.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in GST compliance and advisory work (2-3 years).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must.
• Prior experience in Customs advisory and department related work (2-3 years).
• Experience in Client Relations and Court Proceedings.
• Knowledge of Indirect Tax laws.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
• Legal industry experience is a plus.
• Qualifications: CA./ Lawyer/ semi-qualified CA/ graduate.
