Manager / AM Finance and Compliance

As a Finance Manager in our organization, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and monitoring project and organizational budgets. This includes maintaining accurate financial records in line with accounting standards and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including donor-specific statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with donor agreements through effective budgeting, fund utilization, reporting, and management of donor audits.
- Track grant disbursements and maintain all donor contracts and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).
- Timely filing of statutory returns such as TDS, GST, Income Tax, and FCRA.
- Ensure compliance with all laws applicable to NGOs and Not-for-Profits, including the Companies Act, FCRA, 12A/80G, and CSR requirements.
- Develop and implement internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to safeguard resources.
- Monitor cash flows to ensure adequate liquidity.
- Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with program, fundraising, and operations teams to support project planning, expense management, and overall financial strategy, planning, and compliance for the leadership team.
Qualifications Required:
- MCOM / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in accounts and finance, with at least 2 years in the not-for-profit sector preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, donor compliance, and statutory regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP / QuickBooks / Zoho Books) and MS Excel.
Additionally, good communication and relationship skills are essential for this role.
