Device Associates at Amazon perform manual black box testing on software builds for desktop and mobile platforms, focusing on accurate test execution and bug reporting.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Execute test cases prepared for testing software builds on Desktop and Mobile platforms for Amazon Assistant Products.
• Perform test case execution and report bugs accurately.
• Understand testing procedures and guidelines for new builds/releases.
• Perform regression and repetitive testing exercises to qualify builds without compromising quality.
• Use software tools for data capture daily, such as adb command.
• Capture results, communicate and escalate failures, and provide individual status reports.
• Raise all failures/doubts related to test case execution in the clarification portal and close them as per SLAs.
• Basic knowledge of reading scripts for troubleshooting.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Knowledge of QA methodology and tools.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Windows desktop environment and use of Word, Excel, IE, Firefox.
• Preferred: 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience, or Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Preferred: Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• Preferred: Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems and technical support.
• Preferred: Educational qualifications such as BE, BTech, BS in Computer Science, MCA, MSc IT.
• Open to freshers or candidates with 1 or 2 years of QA experience.
